[Autumn Leaves - Peak Viewing] Sukayu Onsen

The beautiful autumn leaves at Sukayu Onsen

Sukayu Onsen

Early Oct~Mid-Oct

Sukayu is a mountain inn that has been open for over 300 years, located at an elevation of about 900m in the northern part of Towada-Hachimantai National Park, at the western foot of the main peak, Odake, of Hakkoda. The scenery is rich in seasonal changes, and due to its location near the boundary of the beech forest and the Aomori fir forest, there is a wide variety of alpine plants, making this beautiful nature highly valued academically. During the beautiful autumn leaf viewing season, why not take a relaxing soak in the large bath made entirely of Hiba wood, the 'Hiba Thousand-People Bath'? ■ Note For information about nearby attractions, please call 017-738-6002.
