As the name suggests, beautiful woman paintings are a genre of artwork capturing the beautiful figures of women, drawn since the early modern period. Bird-and-flower paintings refer to those depicting flowers, birds, and insects, which have been a theme for many artists. This exhibition introduces various works that go beyond traditional bird-and-flower paintings, including decorative and sculptural expressions based on tradition, and works that express inner thoughts through motifs, showcasing them from both Japanese and Western painting styles. On May 3rd (Saturday) and 4th (Sunday), a workshop titled "Let's Create Original Koinobori Badges" will be held. ■Notes Workshop "Let's Create Original Koinobori Badges" on May 3rd (Saturday) and 4th (Sunday) *Details on the website.
