Tsu Kairaku Park beautifully adorned with cherry blossoms and azaleas
Once known as "Oyamaso" or "Oyamaso Mountain," it began when the 11th lord of the Tsu domain, Tokudo Takayuki, established a villa during the Ansei period (1854-1860). The natural hills and valley features are fully utilized, and in spring, about 10,000 cherry trees, mainly Somei Yoshino, along with around 800 vivid purple azaleas, bloom magnificently.
