Masatoshi Mikuriya Glass Art Exhibition

The glass artist Masatoshi Mikuriya, residing in Omura City, holds his exhibition for the first time in four years. He is the person who successfully restored the elusive craft 'Nagasaki Bead Glass' that was made in Nagasaki during the mid-Edo period, and his precise techniques are the result of years of research and training. The rich designs composed of uniquely blended new colors and original patterns are appealing. The cool beauty of glass and the warm thickness typical of blown glass attract viewers.
