Kazechin Festival

Takamori Town's Traditional Festival
The Kazechin Festival is a summer event in Takamori Town. With a history of over 270 years, the "Kazechin Festival" is considered one of the three great ruckuses of Higo and is a traditional festival that prays for wind calming and abundant harvest. Notable attractions include the "Yamabiki," where creations made from daily goods parade through the town, and the improvisational skits called "Takamori Niwaka." There will also be a grand dance and children's participatory hand dances, with a fireworks display held on the 22nd (Friday). Be sure to take this opportunity to visit.
