Kokura Gion Taiko

Our proud drum skills are designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Asset.
The floats parade through the streets, pounding the drums on both sides in time with the jingles called 'Jyangara.' Highlights include the Children's Performance (on the middle day, from 16:00 to 18:00), Drum Showcase (final day, from 16:00 to 18:00), and Display of Drums (over three days, from 18:00 to 22:00).
