Hitoshi Komatsu lived a self-sufficient life in Ohara, Kyoto, continuing to create while facing nature. This exhibition presents a diverse range of expressions created while exploring new Japanese painting, inspired by landscapes and familiar creatures from various parts of Japan. Additionally, works by Fuku Akinoh, who also thrived in Kyoto, will be displayed. This exhibition allows you to feel the sincere gaze of two painters who lived in Kyoto and sought new forms of Japanese painting towards nature and all living beings.
