Workshop: Learning Buddhism & Amulet Making in Nara - Kōfuku-ji

Learn Buddhism through prayers and sutra copying & amulet making
A special workshop to learn the teachings of Buddhism will be held at Kōfuku-ji in Nara City, a cultural property with a 1300-year history that is also registered as a World Heritage site. Under the guidance of Ryūkai Kirimura, a monk from Jūrin-in, and designer Zain from New York, participants will have the valuable experience of creating their own amulets while touching upon the teachings and spirituality of Buddhism. It will not only be about gaining knowledge, but also a time that deeply resonates and brings Buddhism closer to one’s heart. ■Notes Event related to the Expo. On-site registration available.
