61st Kirishima Kokubu Summer Festival
A festival that heralds summer in Kirishima
A summer tradition of Kirishima City. The festival begins with an opening ceremony on the first day, followed by a total dance with around 6,000 participants, and concludes with the Kokubu Temple portable shrine race on the second day. During the festival, it attracts approximately 130,000 visitors from inside and outside the city. Various stage events are held over the two days.
