Workshop "Let's Make Rattan Coasters!"

Experience rattan, a material suited to Japan's climate and environment
Mr. Nonoyama, a rattan craftsman from Togokucho, Aichi Prefecture, has been making hand-crafted rattan mats for 30 years and continues to study and engage with rattan. Rattan is excellent for moisture control, water absorption, and deodorization, making it popular in changing rooms at bathing facilities. This year, we will hold the popular workshop for making coasters woven with rattan cord, allowing participants to touch rattan while deeply understanding the appeal of natural materials, their excellent functionality, and the craftsmanship involved. Advance reservation required (reservations can be made via phone or email). Limited to 10 participants per session. ■Notes Reservation required. Reservations can be made via phone or email.
