Noshiro Yaku Tanabata - Noshiro Nebunagashi

The traditional light shining in Noshiro (Tomoshibi)
A large lantern, which is a castle-shaped structure with over a hundred years of history, parades through the city accompanied by magnificent flute and drum music played by many young people. At the end of the festival, the 'Shachi Nagashi' is performed, where a shachi mounted on top of the float lantern is placed on a raft and set ablaze on the Yoneshiro River. The grand silhouette of the castle illuminated in the night sky is overwhelming to onlookers. A splendid and majestic summer festival in Noshiro city.
