Displays include a 6-tatami-sized kite depicting the scene of Onikawamaru defeating a giant koi, and kites showing the scene of the strong Kintaro catching a giant koi. Kintaro is a very energetic child who wrestles bears, and it is said that his red face represents the warding off of epidemics and evil spirits, conveying a wish for him to grow up to be healthy and strong. A simple experience of making koi walking kites is available for children in elementary school and under.
