Akira Mizuno - Layer of Vision | Layer of Painting

Featuring mainly unpublished works, the large piece in progress will also be publicly unveiled for the first time.
Akira Mizuno was born in Higashiagatsuma Town, Gunma Prefecture, where he continues to work. For several years, he engages with the subject, condensing the changes of seasons and the passage of time onto a single canvas. Recently, he has continued to paint a 150-sized canvas focusing on the surface of Lake Haruna, and he plans to publicly unveil this incomplete work at the exhibition. Mizuno's vision, which keeps observing the subject with changed focus and resolution, layers upon the canvas as the paint, appearing before us as a real existence that transcends realism.
