Moss Phlox Festival
Approximately 100,000 moss phlox plants
Approximately 100,000 moss phlox plants planted on the slopes of the former Omori Ski Resort bloom in red, white, and pink, creating images of azalea and cherry blossom shapes. Walking paths are also maintained, allowing visitors to enjoy their charm up close. On May 10 (Saturday), there will be displays of working vehicles (such as police and fire trucks) as part of Kids' Day, and a mini Komachi train operation will celebrate the 20th anniversary of city administration. On May 11 (Sunday), events such as Yosakoi dances will be held.
