Takeda Shrine Summer Festival

A traditional dance designated as an important intangible cultural asset of the prefecture for over 400 years
One of the three major summer festivals in the prefecture, featuring the dedication of the samurai dance (Nisai dance, Child dance) which has a history of over 400 years and designated as an important intangible cultural asset of the prefecture. In addition, at the irrigation canal in front of the shrine, a waterwheel automaton designated as a national important intangible folk cultural asset is on display. There is also the "Path of Memory" lined with stone monuments of the Iroha song of Shimazu Nisshin, which became the norm for Satsuma-style education, allowing visitors to stroll in the dappled sunlight.
