Hoya Daijin Shrine Festival

Children are the stars
At the shrine standing on the ruins of Hoya Prince, a ceremony called 'Bijo Banzai' is held, where children aged 5 to 7 are dressed up, have 'large' and 'small' written on their foreheads, and carry banners corresponding to each character leading the procession. Accompanying persons hold a pair of eggplants on a single crane.
