This exhibition commemorates the Osaka/Kansai Expo and features posters from international exhibitions held in Japan after the war. Additionally, it showcases ceramics and lacquerware produced in Kyoto from the modern to contemporary era, or used as teaching materials at this institution. As competitive exhibitions known as expos began to be held both domestically and internationally in modern times, let us enjoy the many crafts that Kyoto, while respecting tradition, uniquely created as it became inextricably linked to overseas design trends and technologies.
