The observatory offers a panoramic view of the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms in the precincts, and is popular for the distant view of the three mountains of Yamato: Kaguyama, Emizuyama, and Unenoyama. When the cherry blossoms in the precincts are in full bloom, the elegance of the cherry blossom confetti falling onto the golden Kinkaku Floating Hall, which gracefully floats in the center of Monju Pond, is unmatched by any other scenery.
