39th Minami-Koshigaya Awa Odori

In Tokushima, the home of Awa Odori, it boasts a scale second only to Koenji. Approximately 65 dance groups participating, mainly from the local Koshigaya, and the number of dancers reaches about 6,000. It has grown to become one of the leading summer festivals in Saitama Prefecture, attracting around 700,000 spectators each year. You can experience the outstanding dances performed by top-class invitees from Tokushima. The proximity between dancers and spectators allows you to feel the excitement and energy firsthand. In addition to the 'Nagashi Odori,' there are many highlights. Stage dances and group dances are also popular.

On August 22, the pre-festival will be held from 19:00 to 21:00. On August 23 and 24, Nagashi Odori will take place from 17:10 to 21:00 (at Minami-Koshigaya Central Street Dance Stage and three other venues), stage dances from 14:00 to 20:45 (at Koshigaya Community Center), group dances from 16:20 (at the shopping plaza in front of Koshigaya Community Center) and 17:10 (at the station front group dance venue).
