Shizukuishi River Park - Cherry Blossom Viewing

Koi windsocks and the colorful cherry blossoms signal the arrival of spring
Around the time when cherry blossoms bloom, about 100 koi windsocks are displayed at Shizukuishi River Park. Listening to the gentle stream of the Shizukuishi River, you can feel the arrival of spring in Shizukuishi as you enjoy the sight of the gracefully swimming windsocks and the approximately 150 Yoshino cherry trees lining the lakeshore overlooking Goshoko Lake. Although these young trees were planted about 30 years ago, they attract many visitors each year as a cherry blossom viewing spot.
