The Hidaka Fire Prevention Festival unfolds a splendid tapestry in spring Oshu. The hayashi floats decorated by each town group march through the streets to the accompaniment of traditional music. The excitement of the festival reaches its peak during the 'Joint Performance.' Under the light of paper lanterns, the floats from each town competitively showcase their splendid performances, marking the climax of the festival. The two days marking the arrival of spring in Michinoku see the streets bustling with many tourists. *A pre-festival on 4/25 is also scheduled
