Kazaiono

Praying for a safe and bountiful autumn
At the Yami Shrine, a ritual called "Kazaiono" is held every year on August 20th before the 210th day of the year. This event is conducted to pray that crops and all things do not suffer damage and that we can welcome a bountiful autumn safely. It is said to have been passed down for over 650 years, and the Kazaiono performance starts around noon. This Kazaiono includes several performances, starting with the designated intangible folk cultural asset "Hitori Okina."
