Kinseizan Himefirefly Observation Event

Observe Kinseizan Himefireflies
Himefireflies are terrestrial fireflies that inhabit from Honshu to Kyushu. They are smaller than Genji fireflies and Heike fireflies, at 6–9mm, with short intervals of luminescence, and they shine like a camera flash, which is a characteristic feature. They shine brightly from around midnight to 3 AM. There will be a separate day for an introduction to night photography with a digital SLR (featuring Himefireflies, starry skies, and night scenes, instructor is Michihiro Shinoda), and a Himefirefly observation event (with a harp performance by Yoko Takagi, and land snail explanation by Takashi Kawai).
