Lotus Viewing Event & Bicchori Festival

The distribution of Kayō-zake and Kayō-cha is popular
A traditional event to enjoy summer flowers, particularly lotus. Pouring alcohol (or tea) into large lotus leaves and drinking through the stem, known as "Kayō-zake (tea)," is a popular attraction. Many people visit early in the morning for this. There will be sales of food and goods made from lotus flowers and seeds, as well as food trucks. After the Lotus Viewing Event, this year we will also hold the "Bicchori Festival." Enjoy activities like bubble-making and photo spots with mini pools using lotus stems and leaves in a one-day water-play area.
