【Hydrangea・Best Viewing】Yugeji Temple

A temple founded by Saicho and several hundred hydrangeas
Yugeji Temple is said to have been founded by Saicho, the founder of the Tendai sect, in the 8th year of the Kōnin era. Because the main deity is the Horse-Head Kannon (Bodhisattva), it seems that many people related to horses come to worship here. In June, several hundred hydrangeas bloom vibrantly in the temple grounds, bringing a sense of joy during the rainy season.
