The summer festival "Minato Matsuri" at Sakai Port, one of Japan's leading fishing ports. With plenty of events including a big catch prayer festival at Ominato Shrine and performances of song and dance at the festival square (special stage at JR Sakai Port Station parking lot), Sakai Port will be filled with liveliness. The climax is the famous fireworks festival. The colorful fireworks lighting up the water surface and the booming sounds reverberating from the opposite Shimane Peninsula are truly powerful! This year marks the 80th anniversary, let's have a blast!
