Special Summer Event "Making Kaleidoscopes from Marine Plastics"

Let's learn about the issue of marine debris while having fun
At the Nanki Kumano Geopark, we are engaged in initiatives to protect the marine environment, including cleaning activities on local coastlines, related to one of the SDGs goals "Let's protect the richness of the sea." As part of this, we will hold a special summer holiday event "Making Kaleidoscopes from Marine Plastics." In this event, participants will enjoy learning about the issue of marine debris while handmade original kaleidoscopes using marine plastics. Targeted at elementary school students and younger, with a maximum of 6 groups per session (first-come, first-served).
