Deer Antler Strap Making

Archaelo-Zoo: Archaeology of Humans and Animals
In ancient times, humans used animal bones and antlers to make tools and ornaments such as fishing hooks. In this event, participants will create straps using deer antlers, recreating Jomon-style fashion. The craftsmanship is simple and can be completed in about 10 minutes. Additionally, we will provide a space to learn about the relationship between ancient humans and animals by exhibiting animal bones unearthed from archaeological sites in Hiroshima City. *Co-hosted with the Hiroshima City Cultural Foundation.
