Dorian Sukekawa's novel 'An' made into an opera for the first time!
The opera 'An' premiered in February 2022 as part of the 50th anniversary project of Konnyaku-za (3rd phase). The tour started the following year, and this performance takes place in Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture. The original work is the novel 'An' by Dorian Sukekawa. It was adapted into a film in 2015, and the novel has been translated into over 20 languages, lighting up the hearts of people worldwide. It contains the ultimate message that no matter what kind of life it is, there is meaning in living.
