‘Indigo Dyeing Experience - Let's Dye a Tenugui’ Fukuoka Scenic Festival - 19th Fukuoka Prefectural Scenic Conference

Let's let our indigo-dyed tenugui flutter in the blue sky
The 'Fukuoka Scenic Festival - 19th Fukuoka Prefectural Scenic Conference' hosted by the Fukuoka Prefectural Beautiful Town Development Council and Fukuoka Prefecture will hold an indigo dyeing experience at Tenjin Central Park. Participants will tie the fabric with rubber bands while imagining the finished pattern and repeatedly immerse it in 'indigo' to dye it. There will be two sessions held in the morning and afternoon, with a maximum of 6 people each (applications accepted until May 16, followed by a lottery). The experience fee is 1,000 yen (includes one piece of tenugui fabric). On the day of the event, related events will also be held at Acros Fukuoka. ■Notes Organizer: Fukuoka Prefectural Beautiful Town Development Council, Fukuoka Prefecture
