Wakasa Kōbōzan Summer Mountain Opening 2025
Beginning of the Kōbōzan Summer Mountain Season
A religious ceremony will be held to pray for safety at the start of the Kōbōzan summer mountain season. The ceremony will feature a performance by the Wakasa Kōbōzan Juhyou Taiko, and during the summit festival, there will be both religious rites and a交流イベント (exchange event) with Shiso City, in addition to pre-registered guided climbing events. Furthermore, there will be benefits such as the offering of sweet rice wine by shrine maidens, free distribution of summit certificates, free distribution of original Kōbōzan tenugui (hand towels), free service of pork miso soup, and gifts of local products from Wakasa Town.
