A garden created by Shimazu Mitsuhisa as a villa for the Shimazu family
The Shimazu family's villa, built by the 19th generation Shimazu Mitsuhisa in 1658. The 28th generation Shimazu Nariakira also loved it dearly, captivating many, including Atsuhime. The vast garden, covering approximately 15,000 tsubo, is adorned with flowers blooming in every season.
