Anin Shrine Festival

Praying for good health while passing through the sacred wisteria
This festival is held every year on July 11 at Anin Shrine, where after the rituals of the inner sanctuary, participants pass through a sacred wisteria circle. Guided by a Shinto priest, worshippers hold a doll that has been brushed with both hands and blown on three times, chanting 'Sumin Shorai' as they pass through the circle three times from left to right, praying for good health.
