Kunizo Shrine Ondamatsuri
A traditional festival that has been passed down since ancient times
"Ondamatsuri" is a festival that praises the divine virtue of Aso Daimei, who spread the ways of development and agriculture in Aso, and prays for a good harvest each year. It has been regarded as a regular festival of Aso Shrine since the Meiji era, and is known as an important festival that features grand processions to the temporary shrine once a year. It is held at Kunizo Shrine on July 26 and at Aso Shrine on July 28.
