Shimokitayama Village Sakura Festival

In Shimokitayama Village, approximately 1000 cherry blossom trees envelop the Shimokitayama Sports Park and its surroundings from late March to early April each year. The full-bloom cherry blossom avenue is very beautiful and is a well-known cherry blossom spot among those in the know. During the blooming period, the Sakura Festival is also held. On the day of the festival, there will be local specialty product sales and booths from neighboring towns, as well as various stage events. At the end of the festival, a rice cake throwing event and a lottery will also take place. There will be a variety of booths with plenty to see and do! Be sure to visit with family and friends.
