8/2(Sat)
8/3(Sun)
The "Kosaka Tanabata Festival" is said to have started in the early Taisho era by miners who gathered from all over the country to reminisce about their hometown, back when the now-prosperous Kosaka Mine was thriving. Unique floats inspired by warrior dolls from Aomori's Nebuta Festival and characters from TV cartoons parade through the town to the captivating accompaniment of harmonicas. The combined procession on the night of the second day is the highlight. *Traffic regulations are in place.
