[Flowers/Best Viewing] Okayama Prefectural Forest Park – Sankayou (Diphylleia grayi)

The "Transparent Flower" that blooms from early summer to the rainy season

Okayama Prefectural Forest Park

Early May~Mid-May

In Kagamino-cho, where about 87% of the town is covered by forest, visitors can enjoy the transition of greenery from fresh green to deep green from spring to summer. In the Kamisaiba region, including Okayama Prefectural Forest Park, Sankayou (Diphylleia grayi) can be seen around early to mid-May. When wet from rain, the white flowers become transparent, earning it the nickname "skeleton flower."
